Gemstone vs Trimlight vs A Local Installer

Most homeowners here price two or three of the national names and then talk to somebody local. That is the right way to do it. This page lays out the lines that decide how the system looks in daylight, how it behaves the other eleven months, and who comes back out in year four. Ask all of us for these in writing, Capital Pro Lighting included.

Why We Do Not Publish Their Specs

Dealer terms, warranty language, and pricing change by market and by year. Anything we printed about another company would be out of date and unfair to them.

So the comparison below gives you the questions instead of their answers. Get theirs in writing, put ours next to it, and the decision makes itself.

Where We Sit

Capital Pro Lighting is an authorized InvisiLights dealer and a Govee certified installer. Individually addressable RGBW LEDs at 12 inch spacing, in aluminum channel color matched to your trim.

Track installs carry a lifetime parts warranty plus a 3 year labor warranty on the installation. Trackless carries 3 years on parts and 3 years on labor. Every job uses UL listed lights.

Send Us The Estimate You Already Have

Photograph the written estimate or upload it with your quote request. We read the layout, the light count, the controller setup, and the warranty language, then price the same house on our system.

We beat written estimates where we can. When we cannot, we say so instead of wasting your afternoon.

Price Ranges, Published

Track mounted from around $2,500, roughly $29+ per linear foot. Trackless from around $2,000 at roughly $20 per foot. Govee from around $1,000 at roughly $10 per foot, plus the controller box.

Price moves with linear feet, stories, access, and controller count. Financing is available through Wisetack, and we offer a military discount.

Inside The InvisiLights System

InvisiLights' published product specs, on the system we install and stand behind.

RGBW, Not Just RGB

InvisiLights uses a dedicated white channel alongside red, green, and blue, so warm white looks like real warm white instead of three colors blended together.

IP68 Rated

Dustproof and water resistant, which matters on a Capital Region roofline that sees ice in January and sun in July.

73 Built-In Presets

The app ships with 73 preset looks, and you can build and save unlimited presets of your own.

Scheduling

Set daily, weekly, or monthly schedules with the on and off hours you want. Set it once and forget it.

Light Segments

Control sections of the roofline separately for alternating colors, patterns, and movement.

Security Modes

Several security lighting modes keep the dark edges of the house lit without running a floodlight all night.

Common Questions

Do you install Gemstone or Trimlight?

No. We are an authorized InvisiLights dealer, and that is the system we install and stand behind. We are also a Govee certified installer for budget builds.

Which system is best?

The one whose spacing, white channel, warranty, and service story hold up in writing. Ask all three for those four lines and compare them side by side.

Will you match another company's price?

Send the written estimate. We beat it where we can, and we tell you plainly when we cannot.

Is a local installer riskier than a national brand?

Ask who performs the service call in year four, by name. We are local, we have been doing this for 10 years, and the person who quotes your house is the person who stands behind it.

Do I need a home visit to get a price?

No. We price most homes from photos and satellite measurements, then confirm on a short phone or video call.

Where do you install?

Albany, Schenectady, Clifton Park, Saratoga Springs, Troy, Rensselaer, and out through the Capital Region, Hudson Valley, and points north. Call or text (518) 900-1912.
